1What this covers
These terms govern the Grind1600 Creator Program. They apply when you join the program, and they sit on top of our Terms of Use and Privacy Policy, which still apply to your account. Where this page and the Terms of Use disagree about the program, this page wins.
Joining does not make you an employee, agent, or representative of Grind1600. You are an independent participant promoting a product you chose to promote.
2Who can join
You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a contract where you live. One person gets one creator account, and one creator account gets one tag. If we find several accounts run by the same person, we may close all but one and cancel the duplicated commission.
Your tag is licensed to you for as long as you are in the program. It is not transferable: you may not sell, rent, or hand it to anyone else, and a tag that impersonates Grind1600, another creator, or a real organization will be reassigned.
3Telling your audience you are paid
Every post, video, story, stream, email, or page that carries your link or code must say clearly that you earn a commission. Put the disclosure where people actually see it, in the post or the video itself, not only in a bio, a pinned comment, or a link page.
In the United States this is required by the Federal Trade Commission's endorsement rules. Other countries have their own equivalents, and following the rules where your audience is located is your responsibility. Plain wording such as "paid partnership" or "I earn a commission if you subscribe" is enough. Not disclosing is the fastest way to lose your place in the program.
4What you may not do
- Bid on the Grind1600 brand name, or misspellings and variations of it, in paid search or any other paid placement keyed to our name.
- Send unsolicited bulk messages, comment spam, DM blasts, or anything that would reasonably be called spam, including on forums and review sites.
- Promise a score, a score increase, admission to a school, or any other outcome on our behalf. We do not guarantee results and neither can you.
- Invent or imply endorsements, testimonials, results, or student numbers, or present our practice materials as official College Board content.
- Present yourself as Grind1600 or as speaking for us. That includes accounts, handles, domains, logos, and ad copy that could be mistaken for ours.
- Buy through your own link or code, or arrange refunds, fake signups, incentivized signups, cashback, or coupon-stuffing to manufacture commission.
- Submit your code to coupon, deal, voucher, cashback, or discount sites, or to browser extensions that inject codes at checkout, whether you post it yourself or hand it to someone who will.
- Use your code anywhere it can be claimed by people who never saw your content, including deal forums, subreddits, Telegram or Discord code-drop channels, and paid code aggregators.
- Modify, hide, or redirect the link so attribution or the discount behaves differently than it does for anyone else.
- Promote Grind1600 alongside content that is hateful, harassing, sexual, or aimed at making children act without a parent.
They come down to one thing. A student should end up on Grind1600 because you convinced them, and should know who is telling them and why.
The coupon-site rule has a specific consequence, so it is worth stating on its own. A code on a deal site earns you commission on sales your audience had nothing to do with, from people who were already on their way to buying. If your code appears on one of those sites, we may void every commission attributed to that code, including commission already approved but not yet sent, and close your account. Commission already paid out may be deducted from any later balance. If your code is scraped and posted without you, tell us and we will change it rather than hold it against you.
5Commission
You earn 30% of the first payment a referred student makes for a paid Grind1600 subscription. It is a one-time commission: later renewals by the same student earn nothing. The rate is applied to the amount actually paid, after the 10% taken off their first payment and after any other discount, and excludes tax and any amount never collected.
A referral is attributed to you when the student arrives through your link within the last 30 days, or when they enter your code at checkout. If more than one creator could claim the same student, the code they used wins, and otherwise the most recent click wins. A student who already has a Grind1600 account or an active subscription is not a new referral.
Our records of clicks, signups, payments, and commission are the ones we act on. If you think a commission is missing, contact us and we will look at the ledger with you.
6Refunds, chargebacks, and reversals
If a referred payment is refunded, charged back, or reversed, the commission on it is reversed too. A partial refund reduces the commission by the same proportion. We may also reverse commission that came from activity this page prohibits, and hold or cancel payouts while we look into a pattern that appears fraudulent.
7Payouts
- Commission is held for 30 days after the payment clears, which covers the refund window.
- Once your cleared balance reaches $25, you request a payout from your creator dashboard. Below $25, the balance rolls into the next payout.
- Zelle is the only payout method today, and Zelle works only with US bank accounts. If you do not have one enrolled with Zelle, we cannot pay you yet, and your balance waits until you do.
- You give us two things and we store only those two: the full name your Zelle is enrolled under, and the email address or US mobile number it is enrolled with. We never ask for an account or routing number.
- A Zelle transfer cannot be reversed once it is sent. Entering the correct details is your responsibility, and we are not liable for a payout sent to details you entered wrongly. Check them before you submit a request.
- Payouts are sent by hand rather than on a fixed calendar date, so allow a few days after you request one.
If your account is closed, any balance that has cleared the hold and passed the minimum is still paid, unless it came from activity this page prohibits.
8Tax
What you earn here is your income. Reporting it and paying any tax on it is entirely your responsibility, and we do not withhold tax or give tax advice. We may ask for tax information before sending a payout where the law requires it, and we may hold a payout until we receive it.
9Your showcase account
While you are in the program, paid Grind1600 features are open on your own account so you can record the real product. It is a filming account rather than a study account, and it is limited to 10 graded questions and 10 AI tutor messages a day, one full-length practice test, and a demo study plan rather than one built from your own scores. The access lasts as long as your partnership does and ends with it.
You may record and publish the product for the purpose of promoting Grind1600. Our practice questions, explanations, lessons, and designs stay ours, and the limited licence in the Terms of Use does not let you republish the question bank as your own material or build a competing product from it.
10Your content and our marks
We may share, repost, or quote content you publish about Grind1600, with credit to you. You keep ownership of it. If you would rather we did not use a specific post, tell us and we will stop.
You may use the Grind1600 name and logo to say honestly that you promote us. You may not alter the logo, use it as your own avatar or brand, register domains or handles containing it, or use it in a way that suggests we produced your content.
11Ending a partnership
You can leave at any time by asking us to close your creator account. We may deactivate an account for breaking these terms, for activity that looks fraudulent, or for conduct that damages students' trust in Grind1600, and we may do it without notice where the damage is ongoing. We may also close the program entirely, in which case cleared balances are still paid.
Deactivation stops future commission and ends your showcase access. Commission already cleared and earned within the rules is still paid.
12Changes to these terms
We may change the program, including the commission rate, the discount, the hold, and the minimum. Changes are posted here with a new date at the top, and they apply to referrals attributed after that date. Commission already earned is settled on the terms that were in force when it was earned. Staying in the program after a change means you accept it.
13Liability and governing law
The program is provided as is. We do not promise any level of earnings, traffic, conversion, or uptime, and the disclaimers, limitation of liability, governing law, and dispute resolution sections of our Terms of Use apply to this program in full, including the arbitration provision that applies to participants outside Brazil.
