1Agreement to Our Terms

Welcome to Grind1600. These Terms of Use (“Terms”) constitute a legally binding agreement between you (“you” or “User”) and Grind1600 (“Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) regarding your access to and use of the Grind1600 platform, including our website and all related services (collectively, the “Services”).

By creating an account, you are required to explicitly accept these Terms and our Privacy Policy. Your acceptance is recorded with a timestamp and the version of the terms you agreed to. If you do not agree with these Terms, you must discontinue use of the Services immediately.

2Eligibility

Our Services are available to users who are at least 13 years of age. If you are under 18, you must have the consent of a parent or legal guardian to use the Services, in accordance with applicable Brazilian law, including the Estatuto da Criança e do Adolescente (ECA) and the Lei Geral de Proteção de Dados (LGPD). Your parent or guardian must review and agree to these Terms on your behalf before you may access or use the platform. By allowing a minor to use the Services, the parent or guardian agrees to be bound by these Terms and assumes responsibility for the minor's activity on the platform.

3Account Registration & Security

To access the Services, you must create an account using either an email address and password or Google OAuth sign-in. When registering, you agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.

If you register with an email address and password, you must verify your email address before gaining full access to the platform. A verification code will be sent to the email address you provide. If you sign in with Google OAuth and an account with the same email address already exists, your accounts may be linked automatically.

For your security, after 5 consecutive failed login attempts, your account will be temporarily locked for 15 minutes. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account or any security breach. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that contain false information or violate these Terms.

4Description of Services

Grind1600 provides an online Digital SAT preparation platform designed to help students improve their standardized test scores. The platform includes the following features:

  • Adaptive practice questions: questions across eight SAT domains (four Reading & Writing and four Math) with difficulty that adjusts based on your calculated skill level (1–7 scale per domain).
  • Full-length practice tests: timed, multi-module practice tests presented in a College Board-style interface with built-in calculator, reference sheet tools, and question navigation.
  • Daily challenge: one challenging question per day with streak tracking. A public leaderboard displays the top 50 participants' names, correctness, and response times, visible to all authenticated users.
  • Personalized study plans: an algorithmic study plan generator that creates a daily study schedule based on your current scores, target scores, SAT test date, weekly availability, and domain performance. Plans can be recalibrated as your skills improve.
  • Interactive lessons: guided lessons covering SAT topics with the ability to take and save personal study notes.
  • Progress tracking: score analytics, domain-level breakdowns, daily progress statistics, and study streak tracking.
  • Mistake log: a review tool to revisit and learn from previously incorrect answers.
  • Module-specific practice: domain-focused study sessions for targeted improvement in specific SAT skill areas.

While we strive to provide effective preparation materials, Grind1600 does not guarantee any specific test score, score improvement, or academic outcome. Our tools, practice materials, and study recommendations are intended for educational and informational purposes only and do not constitute professional tutoring, academic advising, or counseling.

  • Use the Services in any way that violates applicable local, state, national, or international laws or regulations.
  • Share, redistribute, screenshot, copy, or resell any practice questions, explanations, study plans, or other content provided through the platform without our express written permission.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Services, other user accounts, or any systems or networks connected to the platform.
  • Use automated tools, bots, scrapers, or similar technology to access, collect, or interact with the Services.
  • Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information through the platform.
  • Share your account credentials with others or allow multiple individuals to use a single account.
  • Upload or transmit content that is harmful, threatening, abusive, defamatory, obscene, or otherwise objectionable.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Services, including attempting to circumvent rate limiting or security measures.
  • Use the platform to engage in any form of academic dishonesty, including sharing test content that violates the College Board's policies.

6Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionality of the Services — including but not limited to practice questions, answer explanations, study plan algorithms, adaptive learning systems, score analytics, interactive lessons, text, graphics, logos, icons, images, software, and design elements — are the exclusive property of Grind1600 or its licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Services for personal, non-commercial educational purposes. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or create derivative works based on any part of our Services or content without prior written authorization. All practice questions, explanations, and study materials are proprietary. Unauthorized sharing or distribution of these materials is strictly prohibited, and we actively monitor for such violations.

7User-Generated Content

You may create content through the Services, including personal study notes within lessons, profile information, and feedback (“User Content”). You retain ownership of your User Content; however, by submitting it, you grant Grind1600 a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, store, process, and display your User Content solely for the purposes of operating and improving the Services.

You represent that you own or have the necessary rights to submit your User Content and that it does not infringe the rights of any third party. We reserve the right to remove any User Content that we believe violates these Terms or is otherwise objectionable. Study notes are subject to a maximum length of 20,000 characters per lesson.

8Plan Tiers & Future Paid Features

The platform currently offers Free, Plus, and Pro plan tiers. Access to certain features may vary by plan tier. At this time, no payment processing is integrated into the platform and all features are provided without charge.

We may introduce paid subscriptions or one-time purchases in the future. If and when paid features are introduced, we will notify users in advance and provide clear information about pricing, billing terms, and cancellation procedures before any payment is required. No charges will be applied without your explicit consent. Any future payment processing will comply with applicable provisions of the Código de Defesa do Consumidor (Consumer Protection Code).

Refund Policy: We offer a 7-day money-back guarantee on all paid subscriptions and purchases. If you are not satisfied with your purchase, you may request a full refund within 7 days of the original purchase date by contacting us at support@grind1600.com. Refund requests made within this 7-day window will be processed promptly and in full. After the 7-day refund period has expired, no refunds or credits will be issued. Your subscription will remain active until the end of the current billing period, but partial-period refunds are not available once the 7-day window has closed.

9Leaderboard & Public Information

The daily challenge feature includes a public leaderboard that displays the top 50 participants ranked by correctness and response time. When you submit a daily challenge answer, the following information becomes visible to all authenticated users of the platform:

  • Your display name (as set in your profile)
  • Whether your answer was correct
  • Your response time
  • Your ranking position

By participating in the daily challenge, you acknowledge and consent to having this information displayed on the leaderboard. If you do not wish for your information to be publicly visible, you may choose not to participate in the daily challenge.

10Algorithmic Decision-Making

The platform uses algorithms to personalize your learning experience. These algorithms affect the Services in the following ways:

  • Domain level calculation: your skill level in each of the eight SAT domains is calculated on a 1–7 scale based on your recent question performance. These levels are updated automatically as you answer questions.
  • Study plan generation: a personalized daily study schedule is generated based on your current scores, target scores, SAT test date, weekly availability, and domain skill levels. The plan determines which subjects to study each day, session types, and estimated question counts.
  • Adaptive question selection: the difficulty of practice questions is influenced by your current domain skill levels.

You may recalibrate your study plan at any time if you believe the algorithm's assessment does not reflect your current skill level. You may also manually adjust your scores, target scores, test date, and study schedule through your settings. In accordance with the LGPD, you have the right to request information about how these algorithms process your data.
